@MakoAoyama: I know what you mean. I think as just lovers of tech in general we can't help but get excited by the newest, shiniest thing. I would get this in a heartbeat except I would lose my beloved backwards compatibility that I actually use.

I agree this doesn't excuse them for using conflict minerals (if, in fact, they do). But I think they have thought about it and made at least some effort to remedy that.

Personally, I really enjoyed Shattered Memories despite the problems it had with the Otherworld. The ending alone and the way the game messed with your head made it a real gem on the Wii. It might not have been scary but it definitely evoked other emotions which is, I think, substantial for a game.
