I caught that too. solid material.
I caught that too. solid material.
goddammit it had better not be Hop. it’s not fair to the audience to give us a beautiful, meaningful death sequence like that and then just play take-backsies.
the American should be Papa. straight up.
When you mentioned the train graveyard I could hear the music. It was amazing
Shaolin Shadowboxing...and the Wu-Tang Sword style!!
You’re just soooo fucking impressed with yourself, man! It’s pretty sad.
well hello mister fancy-pants
I don’t feel the need to fully address everything you’ve said here. But Idiocracy is a piece of classist garbage, and not really anything like real life.
if they had made them in 1996, they could have. but like, all the actors are old or dead now, it would have made zero sense. so many awful fanboys just cannot fathom that
the thing is, what does that MEAN?
like, the new Doom Patrol series is one of the most faithful-to-the-spirit-of-the-original adaptations of a work I’ve ever seen, but the facebook profile’s posts are filled with morons complaining about how bad it sucks.
the truth is, fan reactions are unpredictable, and respecting one…
that’s so fucking reductive. social media, (Facebook in my case) enables me to keep in touch with tons of friends that are either from the internet, or very distant.
social media isn’t the problem. it’s the vector of the problem.
I loved the original star wars EU as a kid, but as I got older I realised a significant portion of it was hot fucking garbage. seeing nerds going out of their way trying to defend a continuity that includes Masters of Teras Kasi and The Truce at Bakura is really sad.
I think the irony is that a lot of the toxicity comes from the established “old guard” in the fandoms.
I’m 37 and I’ve been into Star Wars for like, 32 or 33 of those years. when I hear a lot of the fans my age talk about Star Wars, it’s like they’re into a completely different property than i am.
they like pissing off fans of the original show so much, it’s great.
Upward swing, eh? i see you.
best episodes of any TV show ever. sorry you don’t get it.
I actually cried when that happened.
you don’t actually like Evangelion, and that’s pretty clear.
Don’t listen to this guy.
no. no no no no.
no.
the Rebuild movies are great. but they’re sequels. they’re not remakes or reboots. they are sequels to the series and to End.
it’s not the same translation. I was watching it with the dub voices and then the subs on for CC. they’re not the same dialogue at all.
yes, it is. there’s lots of stuff they do differently, but some aspects are actually superior. I’ve watched the show like 10-15 times and I picked up on a subplot I’d never noticed before.
