Baldur’s Gate IS a DnD series set in Forgotten Realms, so you would be getting more of that....maybe I misunderstand what you’re trying to say there.

I would argue with you until I passed out on DAO, as I huge BG fan I hated that game, never understood the comparisons people made at the time, they are literally nothing alike.  I think people were so gaga over DAO because it came out before the resurgence of isometric RPGs and people were desperate.

If you can’t install mod packs, and don’t want to get the enhanced editions, then no, there’s no way to really play them as intended anymore.

I question how much Beamdog has actually done much of anything on the technical side of things, seemed more like they just bought these old licenses, applied (slightly altered) already existing community and slapped a new price tag on.
