I was bored one Friday night in college. So I looked up what was playing in theatres. Two movies released that I wanted to see. So I thought, "What the hell. I'll see them back to back. The 7 PM show and the 9 PM."

One thing that confused me at first: remember Yorkie deciding what to wear on her second outing? She changed costumes, hair, and make-up so fast that it was almost unrealistic. I had a hard time buying it.
Holy shit, how did I not clue into that? Wow. Good spotting.
For me, this was the best episode of the season. Playtest comes second, but San Junipero is still way ahead. I was crying by the end. Someone on my Twitter feed said it was the first big tear jerker that Black Mirror has ever produced. Given, as the review points out, the usual negative conclusions the show has, I…
This might sound strange, but for Kelly's part, I kind of hope it's both. She gets "copied" into San Junipero to be with Yorkie, but her spirit also transcends so she can reunite with her husband and daughter. Kind of a best-of-both-worlds situation.
With no focus on gore porn, of course. Which is a plus in my opinion.
Well, we saw what condition Kenny was in at the end, so it wasn't an EASY win, that's for damn sure.
That's what I got out of it, too. To paraphrase Anonymous or people like them, these people did it "for the lulz."
Huh. Out of curiosity, I googled the definition of "Shrive," the program Kenny downloaded. The term definitely makes sense within the context of the episode:
I just finished it and San Junipero back to back. So far, I think this is the weakest episode of the season. But as I said on response to someone below, even a "bad" episode of Black Mirror is still something worth watching.
It's good, it's just not great. I'm 4 episodes in and so far, it's the weakest of the season for me. But like other Black Mirror seasons, even the "bad" episodes are still pretty solid in their own way.
I was thinking that, too.
Maybe it's just me, but I thought it would've been a stronger ending if her speech actually DID win over the wedding crowd. Maybe talk about all the sacrifices she made in order to make it there for her best friend.
I am a great magician.
