Easy answer right?
It all depends on the motivation of the author.
If such talk can help or comfort others who may face such things, why not?
Yeah.... i'm not into drugs either but 'Milky Bar-fuelled sex heart attack' just doesn't have quite that same ring to it... :p
i think the first i've seen of these ugly boring covers are from Tom Clancy, at the check out at supermarkets in Canada next to harlequin romances featuring paintings of Fabio carrying some swooning woman.
SO MANY comments, how has nobody said "Ender's Game".
So absolutely and utterly missed the point. The only person I know who enjoyed the movie hadn't read the books. I asked him the story as he understood it, and he described a really boring, pointless story, without any of the complexity of the original.
Not to…
if including books to film remake - i submit:
I have to post this in response to your image, because it fits so well:
"My name is Mulan. I did it to save my father."
Do I need to explain this one?
Oh! I forgot Church from Red vs. Blue!
I love that I keep getting to use Wall-E as an answer to these questions.
Really nobody's gonna put the man there? I mean say all you want, but giving your life up for the kid of the love of a woman that never loved you back.... that's well....thats dedication if anything.
See, this is one of the many reasons why I'd be completely terrible at writing romance. I can understand sacrificing your life:
Hate on Lost all you want but three words, two of them names, are enough to send me into tears. Blubbering, teeth-grinding tears. Such a marvelous build-up to a moment so brilliantly executed. THIS is how you build a narrative and deliver a payoff in television.
“I did things it shames me to speak of. For gold. So Lynesse might keep her jewels, her harper, and her cook. In the end it costed me all . When I heard that Eddard Stark was coming to Bear Island, I was so lost to honor that rather than stay and face his judgment, I took her with me into exile. Nothing mattered but…
Since you used Simon and River Tam and opened the doors for familial love as well as romantic (or at least I hope you did because because otherwise ew) I put forward Catelyn Stark from Game of Thrones.
My favorite stories are all about love and finding family. And Harry Dresden will (and has) risk everything, up to his life and the woman he loves, to protect the people he sees as family.
