A) I think Lars von Trier is a truly unique, exquisitely talented filmmaker. B) I really hate Lars von Trier films.

KC Int'l is not that bad of an airport, at least based on the 6 or so times I've flown in/out of it. It has sort of an odd layout - the security is at each gate, which actually made it pretty quick to go through. The city is currently pondering either expanding it or moving it, even though it's a fairly new airport.

Ellen herself was perfectly acceptable, a little funny, a little blah…but all those montage sequences and songs thrown in for no reason (Wind Beneath My Wings? Are you fucking kidding me?) just dragged it down.

It was clearly a head butt - and deserved a red, but Vertongen should've been given a yellow for throwing himself on the ground like he'd been shot.

It was a head butt. A minor one, but on replays it was absolutely clear Vertongen was head butted - there's a moment where you see his head jerk back slightly before the all out flop. Zolzuya deserved a red card, plainly, and Vertongen should've gotten a yellow.

The song category was all but sewn up by Frozen's Let It Go up until recently…but Happy from Despicable Me 2 has been EVERYWHERE for the last few weeks, and it just may sneak in. It may just depend on when folks voted...

He's VERY happy. He says 'Mais non' quietly, then the ball bounces in and he flips out - hard to make out what he's yelling "C'est (something) ici!" or "It's (something) here!" and I think he yells Goal as well. And possibly some stroke inspired guttural noises.

I hate when people butt in like that.

I somehow lucked into seeing it (I have no clue when any event is going to show). Amazing save. Saw her interview with Costas too, and I couldn't believe she was only 18 - she's got a very composed wry, dry wit. It was very cute when Bob showed her her family at home going bonkers at the win. She said something like…

When I was into comic books (85-95 or so) I loved American Flagg. Great art, great satire.
