Scaramouche! Really fun film. I caught that on TCM a couple years ago and became a big Stewart Granger fan. He's a very underrated actor imo.

It's also problematic translating that because "Je VOUS aime" is different than "Je t'aime." To be fair, I haven't seen it in years and can't quite remember the whole story, but dollars to donuts there is a reason it's vous instead of te.

Lord have mercy. Loved the comic book. I'm almost ashamed to say I've seen this like 4 times...in the theater, at a 'bad movie night' w/ friends, and on cable. It's so insanely terrible on so many levels.

Ab-so-lutely. Man, this is another film based on a tv show I love (like The Avengers and Wild Wild West) that just pisses me off for completely shitting on the original source.

But it was still a pretty good film regardless. I'm a huge fan of the books, but I enjoyed myself. The marketing campaign (and film title) doomed it from the start for sure.
