News App is in my “CrApple” box with all the rest of the stock apps and I welcome my new adblocking Safari overlords.

For a second I though this pilot was in big trouble launching with air brakes extended before I remembered it must be the VTOL hatch.

This are great news but i’m not sure car manufacturers are basing the price of their “green” cars only on the price of the batteries they like to add a “green” value on top of those.

Its also a good car, but I’m 3-5 years away from buying, so I have a while to decide.

why do people like burning their daily 4 gallons of gas? its like a pack a day habit from the 50’s go cold turkey dump ice

I am a fan of getting electric cars for the inter-city drive. My friend loves her Leaf! She could drive it to work and back on one charge if it was a completely flat road (30 mile commute) however, she works for a modern company, so now there is her very own EV parking spot to fill charge up for uphill drive back.

The Chevy Volt is 5-star safety rated and goes from 0 to 101 mph briskly on electric power alone. Google Caroline Johnson Chevy Volt if you still need proof.

A drop of 8% per year means that batteries in 2014 were at about 55% their 2007 cost. That’s not bad.

This headline and the picture belong in 2010, not today. Anybody who can afford a new car can get an EV. Anyone who can afford a used dealer car can get an EV. Nissan Leafs are pretty affordable and the used ones are even more affordable.

Without reading, I’m guessing two-three years away? Probably also promising they’ll fly too.

after discovering how Google tweaks its data and search results based on each individual's likes and history (giving very different responses to even those searching for the same thing), I know this will come in very handy. So every Tuesday is "junk mail day" at my apt. complex; if i can get myself out of that

I don't like the idea that some companies won't remove the information on request. They are legally required to, but good luck fighting it.

I find it reprehensible that some of the companies won't remove your data, except under certain circumstances (Lexis Nexus) or charge you money to have your info removed (Locate Plus).

This is absolutely terrifying.

Does anyone else find it ironic that I need to provide them data to stop data mining me?

I found my name on almost every one of those websites. That scares the hell out of me.
