For a second I though this pilot was in big trouble launching with air brakes extended before I remembered it must be the VTOL hatch.

I don't envy you having worked there. I can't comment from the employee/USPS culture perspective, only as a customer, and only with experience of a small number of mail carriers. I didn't have to lie, however, when a previous mail carrier kept saying I wasn't home to avoid delivering packages, when I clearly was. I

I'm pretty sure it was based on a Chevy S10...

Are these labels really necessary?

The last LLV was built on a Ford frame. It was very dysfunctional and was a worthless piece of crap. They were dangerous too.

Read around, they are broke mostly because Congress decreed them to be so. Any other company with their cashflows wouldn't be anywhere near dire straits.

USPS is broke and they are looking to spend millions of dollars on new trucks? This is disturbing.

The first six drafts put the engine and the driver in the same compartment, plus some mail in the engine compartment. Also, there was a coat closet in revisions 1-4. The observation deck was removed in draft 3.

These studies cost $440,000.

Wonder how many focus groups it took to come to those conclusions?

this is what happens when the government tries to develop a product....you go back in time

How we just need a solution to replace the grumpy arseholes that drive them!

Just buy some British market Ford Transits and be done with it.

I'd be really fascinated if the likes of Ford or Chevy have an entry that closely resembles a current production vehicle. Because if it'll be built to last 18-20 years, I want to know what changes they'd make to get to that number. Then I'd curse them for not doing it with their civilian counterparts, haha.

after discovering how Google tweaks its data and search results based on each individual's likes and history (giving very different responses to even those searching for the same thing), I know this will come in very handy. So every Tuesday is "junk mail day" at my apt. complex; if i can get myself out of that

I don't like the idea that some companies won't remove the information on request. They are legally required to, but good luck fighting it.

I find it reprehensible that some of the companies won't remove your data, except under certain circumstances (Lexis Nexus) or charge you money to have your info removed (Locate Plus).

This is absolutely terrifying.

Does anyone else find it ironic that I need to provide them data to stop data mining me?

I found my name on almost every one of those websites. That scares the hell out of me.
