Rake will be here for a few more weeks at least, cause with the Olympics going on no show would get good ratings there anyway. After the Olympics seem like a real possibility.

Unfortunately the budget constraints here are fairly obvious, especially for the dramas. Case in point, The After is intriguing but I was left wondering if Amazon wrote a cheque to Carter with the budget numbers but forgot a zero.

Starz is pretty trigger-happy when it comes to killing off shows after 2 seasons (actually, I think ALL their shows except Spartacus ended that way), so I'm not expecting too much, although if it can run 4-5 years that would epic indeed.

if Bryan Fuller can have Lee Pace in some sort of guest roles then the season 2 cast would be perfect. And I presume David Bowie won't be Hannibal's uncle as they had hoped, but that's a longshot anyway.

It is six months. It said right there in the first episode, after the nuclear blast. Maybe you missed it.

Shoot me, but I think the U.S Rake tries a different approach, so I wouldn't compare the two. For some reasons I find the U.S version more… charming? Probably it's Greg Kinnear elevating the writing.

I think her style in season 1 was encouraged by the show's producers. It makes sense that sci-fi shows in general wants to appeal to a younger audience, thus you have Charlie-like characters in Terra Nova or Falling Skies and they seem to think younger people (me!) would be able to relate to them. Obviously not, but

That would make sense, since in episode 6 (or 7) there was a building explosion and Cynthia looked dead in the aftermath, and theoretically she could've stayed that way.

I can sympathise with the plot-recyling, since they did make it pretty fun to watch. Revolution, unlike Falling Skies or Defiance, have to fill out 22 episodes per season, and the fact that we've yet to see any real filler or a total dud episode (both Skies and Defiance had one last season, in my opinion) means the

Well it works in keeping the audience around. Revolution's ratings have been low but also pretty much the same for several weeks now, so I figure they come back for resolution.
