If people put a large phone in their back pocket, its likely to get bent if its made of Aluminum. The same thing has happened to Android phones as well.

The major problem is straight-on impact. The wings probably have leading edge slats, so even if those are damaged, it's a bolt-on replacement. Even so, the paint on the leading edges is good, so maybe the slats are just that sturdy for the job they do.

If anything, this is just a testament to how safe modern air travel has become. Regardless, that's going to be a hell of a repair bill to the radome, windscreens, and who knows how much of the wing and stab's leading edges...
