What silly rubbish... You can support anything you like with air - it just depends on the pressure. Does your car not have air in it's tyres then? Try telling Boeing that the tyres on their 747s won't be able to take the strain as there's there's a limit of 180 lbs...

You say that like it's a bad thing. Arial is probably the most popular font in the world (ie nearly everyone loves it).

The picture is almost certainly wrong because the iPad mini will be 16:9 ratio - not 4:3.

They've not closed it for me. It's still there.

The iPhone 5 leaked backshell also has the gaps. So it's pretty certain it still has the stupid holdable antenna.

More likely holding an iPhone 4 to get the size of the grip right, then just overlaying the larger phone.

Bugger. It still has the tell-tale gaps in the steel band, so it will still have the stupid antenna problem which plagues the iPhone 4 and 4S :(

Sorry but that argument is stupid for obvious reasons. Different tools almost always use totally different batteries even if you stick to the same manufacturer. All the batteries in the devices above are in moulded packs designed to form part of the device. They cannot fit in any other device and most likely they are

What is that pattern on the inside-back cover? PCB tracks? NFC antenna? Or just some kind of moulding marks?

Apple doesn't use a proprietary connector because of power, it uses a proprietary connector because of the extra functions their dock connector needs to have, such as analogue audio out, video out, serial controlled music control etc. None of which are possible with a USB connector without putting an expensive USB
