Toyota/Lexus body on frame SUV. One of mine has 350,000, the other is at 200,000 and i have zero concerns about it making it to 250,000. Land Cruiser, GX, 4Runner, LX, etc. If its a model made in Japan, you can count on it going the distance. Tundra, Tacoma, sequoia and other American/Mexican made models come in second

Wait, I thought I was hesitant to purchase a BEV because I’m a climate-hating asshole simpleton.

but for those who don’t have an at-home charging solution, allow yourself ample time and charge to get to a public charger.

That joke is so old there are not even malls anymore.

WANT. *Checks bank account* Okay, maybe not.

I don’t really understand why these are so sought after. You can get a almost new 4runner for that price and it’s 100% better in every metric. Except for the 5 speed I guess is an argument. That 3.4L is a gutless pig.

“It’s hard to overestimate just what a game changer the 1957 Interstate Highway Act was to building America.”

The BMW gear selector looks so out-of-place in that cabin. Just like it does in the Morgans.

I feel calling them ‘investors’ is misleading as well. They’re not ‘investing’ in GM. That was over and done with at the public offering (and even -then- it’s the underwriters who buy the first round of stock. Then the underwriters profit by selling their cheap shares to the masses. Like a pyramid scheme...)

There are millions of normal middle class Americans who are indirectly investors in GM who benefit from the growth and dividends.

Who are these millions of normal middle class Americans who are indirectly invested in GM? The majority of equities are held by institutionals.  Your statement may have been true when many more were vested in pensions, but no more.  They are left to their own devices with IRAs and 401ks, and we know most Americans

More money going to workers means less dividends for the shareholders. Boo hoo. If you want GM to give you money, go work for them.

I think the magnitude of the difference between driving and transit in trip times in the U.S. is in part because our cities have been designed (or destroyed and redesigned) for cars. We should be actively redesigning our cities so that life can be lived easily without cars.

Leave cars for pleasure cruises or trips to

I don’t care that you want to play semantic games when your point is the same point that simpletons make on behalf of Jewish people whenever anyone says anything they don’t like about Israel’s war crimes. You choosing to decide I was being anti-Semitic by intentionally referring to a specific and smaller subset of

yup, and the more i read into/remember all of it the more horrified i get

Right, Biden is absolved of spreading false and inflammatory propaganda for a foreign state because he did the bare minimum when someone was murdered...as a result...of false propaganda...from that same foreign state. GTFOH.

I’m sorry you’re not familiar with the actual meaning of the term “Zionist” (which originated about half a century before the rise of Nazism), but I don’t care what games you have to play to pretend all criticism of Israel is anti-Semitic. Those of us with critical thinking skills and adequate reading comprehension

Yeah but the IDF/Israel has been doing war crimes for decades now. And the west continues to unequivocally support them.

Oh Biden feels bad for this family now?  Cute, cute....probably shouldn’t have been spreading Zionist propaganda as the leader of the free-world last week then, huh?

The money from union concessions seem to go to the shareholders instead of “competing”. History proves this over and over. After 40+ years, Ford (and GM) still builds second rate vehicles.
