I usually give Jalopnik writers every benefit of the doubt, but I take a number of issues with this article.

This. Also, I’ve never been on a road trip (especially through parts unknown) and thought to myself: “You know what I absolutely need right now? New brake fluid.”

Not seeing a justification in there to not mail out free tests to every American.

At the end of the day, this was just a better use of time and money.

Reading comprehension should be a prerequisite for commenting, my friends.

Sending out one per American wasn’t the reporter’s idea. The reporter’s suggestion was “Why not just make them free and give them out and have them available everywhere?” Psaki was the one that sarcastically suggested sending out one per American, and all the reporter did was say “Maybe” to not immediately dismiss

meh, rich guy problems. campers usually don’t use generators, retired RVing boomers do. they’ll be fine.

Agreed. I like to camp at a fairly remote spot and twice now a person has pulled up in their RV and run their generator all night to power fans and lights. COOL

That makes it even worse, the non gig employees are quite well compensated. Uber CEO “made around $12 million in 2020 and more than $42 million in 2019" according to my expert googling

I was gonna say.

How did they let a system like that get put in place? Did the founders of the UAW think the common citizens/members were only a few steps above animals, like the founders of the US? That’s why we have the Senate, the Electoral College and lifetime judiciary appointments; they're all institutions as anti-democratic as

Good for them.

This is good news.

I’ve always preferred the ‘68 because of the round lights.

This isn’t really all that surprising and is true of most serious illness. People with multiple medical problems are more likely to have severe cases and be hospitalized. People develop more complications while seriously ill or hospitalized and are debilitated after a hospital stay, leaving them vulnerable to other
