Very few, doesn’t stop a ton of them from exceeding their payload on a regular basis on their way to the grocery store.

Yeah, people use Tacomas to “overland” with enough gear strapped to their truck to easily exceed the payload limit they aren’t aware of. But TACO!

You’re right about measurement differences, though the differences between this hilux and the US Tacoma is significantly more than the difference between the UK and US Ranger for instance. At any rate, why would you buy a truck with such an anemic payload?

You’re gaining nearly twice the payload. With the Tacoma, your payload is nearly eaten up by 4 occupants of the truck and the gas.
