Got any facts or figures about how many dead pedestrians were on their phones and in the middle of the road?

Sorry, Kinja isn’t making this a clickable link. You can search for this article if you want.

Yes, most pedestrian deaths are the result of them walking aimlessly into the middle of the road.

Nobody is making this strawman case you insist on attacking. The general idea is that the rules and regulations are way off in terms of addressing externalities and that if they were updated appropriately, they make buying a truck way less attractive

How many of the drivers were?

Besides the fact that it’s obvious that the design of SUVs/trucks are clearly more lethal since they send the pedestrian under the vehicle instead of up on to the hood, we’ve known for a long time that they are more lethal.

“They’re just making what people want” is a strange cop-out. People want all sorts of terrible shit. What they’re doing is making what people want and all of the externalities (pedestrian deaths, pollution, etc) are being paid by the rest of society. That’s why if you drive a truck, everyone else gets to question why.

Can’t believe it took this long to get to the victim blaming.

I hate this and would love to have one.

Not sure how one article’s accuracy exonerates the inaccuracy of another.

We just bought a used ‘18 Ford Expedition under the auspices that it would be our last ICE vehicle. There is simply nothing affordable on the market that fits our needs from an interior size standpoint. I’m 6'5" with two growing boys and a dog. I’m hoping we can keep the Expedition for enough years that a larger

It’s going too far the other way. Wind turbines have frozen and that is CONTRIBUTING to the power outages. Gas backs up the wind and decreased wind capacity puts even more pressure on a failing gas infrastructure. From a basic capacity standpoint, gas is MORE to blame, yes. Ultimately, as you point out, all of it is

Increasingly, it’s a currency. You can use it to buy stuff right now. Dollars also appreciate in value (inflation) but folks don’t hold onto them because they’re afraid of missing out on it. But largely, it’s a store of value like gold or silver.

Among the most pernicious memes propagating online are that Texas’ wind turbines have frozen and that that has led to the blackout.”

Not to be trite, but we should nuke social media from orbit. It has LONG since passed its useful shelf life, if it ever had one. Everyone I talk to about this who still uses Facebook claims that it’s great for keeping in touch with distant friends and relatives, etc, but so what? The costs clearly outweigh the

I used to work for a company that started out making speakers out of art frames and printing artwork on speaker grill fabric and then invented the soundbar and now makes art speakers again. https://www.leonspeakers.com/ente-for-sonos-amp/ente-soundtile/

Supino’s and Joe’s are both excellent, although Joe’s sauce gives me heartburn, which almost never happens. Supino’s though is probably my favorite pizza of all time.

I’ve done my own brakes several times. The problem is that it needs to be done infrequently enough that I feel like I’m re-learning how to do it every time.

Dive through the Uighur ink hole deep enough and you’ll almost always come to claims made by Adrian Zenz used as support for reporting.
