I don’t live in a city, I live in a township next to a college town. Cost us $227k, but needed a lot of work.

I understand, but it’s still a choice. I live on an acre, but my commute is 4.5 miles and I ride it every day. Sold one of our cars. If you don’t want to live in a city, perhaps find a job that’s not in a city. Everyone else’s lungs will thank you for it.
Wat? Transportation accounts for 29% of all CO2 emissions in the US. That’s the largest share of greenhouse gas emissions. Not to mention all the other crap that pollutes the air and results in 10's of thousands of premature deaths every year. I love cars, but I’m not letting that love get in the way of reality.
I think “them city types” understand this just fine. But what it is is not simply a value-free difference in lifestyle, it’s a really selfish choice with major ramifications for the environment. Like, I think it’s insane to drive 55 miles to and from work every day, but that’s not why I think it’s a really ugly…
It’s not dumb, it’s ruthlessly greedy. The Iraq War was not a mistake to the people that pocketed billions (trillions?) as a result of it.
“We don’t want Iran to get a nuclear weapon,” because if they did it would spell an end to Israeli/US hegemony in the Middle East.
Nah. The abstract assets they got were “shitty, cheap players”. This is exactly what you want before you go in the tank. Now, perhaps they could have squeezed some more/better picks out of the deal, but I think it’s just simply good not great for both sides.
So did Jesus stop the fight or what?
This may or may not be true (it’s impossible to know), but certainly you must agree there are degrees of luck, no? The Raptors got extremely lucky. Much more so than say, the 2004 Pistons.
I’m with you, but I think the bottom line is that your body is fine whatever it is, provided you eat relatively healthy and get some exercise. Like, if you regularly eat vegetables and walk/run/ride a decent distance each week, you’re doing fine and whatever your body looks like is what it looks like.
This may be a thing on cars out of my price range, but I’ve always thought the seat position memory buttons should control all sorts of things in addition to seat position. Like, it’d be cool if I could hit my button and have the driving mode I prefer, the Sirius station I prefer, the temp, and the volume all…

Thanks for acknowledging that you don’t care about the only perspective that actually matters here.
Have any of the thousands of concern trolls bothered to ask the Thai team what their feelings are? No? OK, cool.
When my older brother would let me win in sports or board games, it would make me more angry than when he’d just beat me. If you’re competitive enough to have made it on to your country’s national team in any sport, I’d guess that the same would be true. As a competitor, it would infuriate me to watch a team “take it…
This appears to be born out of a frustration with the fighting between Bernie supporters and Warren supporters. As a Bernie preferer, my problem with Warren is not that she isn’t an avowed socialist, it’s that her support of Medicare for All is mealy-mouthed and prevaricating. That’s about it, but it’s a big IT.
I, too, think it’s untoward to celebrate scoring a goal in the fucking World Cup, the pinnacle of the sport I’ve dedicated my life to. Jesus Christ people.
Having someone who’s not lily white on their network to help legitimize their white supremacy is more important than sexual harassment, and always will be for Fox News.
Regular folks get a glimpse of that super-humanity when we snatch a falling glass or child out of midair.
Left. Interestingly(?), I also primarily hold/use my phone with my left hand despite being right-handed.
