Just lost my father on Friday to cancer. My best friend magnified my interest / appreciation for David Bowie. Him passing so soon after, just makes my loss more amplified.

I think that was part of the magic of Bowie. One could appreciate him and his work without needing to be a die hard fan and that die hard fans seem to accept that without the mockery/snobbery that you sometimes see with other artists.
