Is there any engineering advances that come out of designing a mega tower 2 miles tall? (Higher strength steels or whatever the case may be).

"If you just respond with, "No, I have already heard what I need to know," it makes you seem disinterested and complacent."
they dont necessarily hurt. but they dont necessarily help that much. most of their functionality is baked into AOSP anyway (or maybe ive been using cyanogen so long i forget what actual AOSP is). The fact that they are still working on porting skins to ICS (or just finishing) means they havent been putting 100% on…
i dont "reboot" my laptop. But I boot it up, shut it down, etc when I get to work/leave work/etc. And it doesnt specify how quickly it wakes from sleep. that wasnt a test, so I took the liberty of assuming it would be lumped with boot time. Probably not accurate.
JB really is there yet (CM10 is pretty much awesome on my SGS3). Might not be for your phone... but if samsung/htc/motorola spent more time updating their phone drivers to JB than making crappy skins that the majority of people dont like anyway... i mean heck, if the open source community can get it up and running…
depends on your device i guess. the boot times could be very beneficial to laptop users who reboot often.
Lol. I've argued that "no reason to upgrade" is the only reason to not upgrade. Theres no performance loss. there is no functionality loss (everything you could do from the start menu before can be done from the start screen now). I find it easier to arrange "pin to start" shortcuts in the new metro style.
i was using desktop html5 a long time ago but it wasnt fully functional. seems to almost be better than the flash version now
My grandma got upset when being moved from windows 95 to windows 98 due to "ui changes". I'm not denying that people are going to get confused and upset.
was going to say that kongregate is pretty solidly rooted in flash. But I dont hit it that often on my phone anymore
It provides freedom to the user (which i support) but sometimes it takes a big name company like apple doing something drastic to force change upon an industry. iPhone being popular and not having flash forced people to make mobile web html5 friendly which in turn leads to flash being completely unnecessary (hopefully)
pretty sure youtube mobile is now all html5, which was part of the argument for iOS6 dropping the youtube app i believe.
right. the flicker of the monitor won't give you a headache, but staring at a lightbulb of a monitor all day might.
precision is a big one. rubber domes dont always collapse at th esame point, but supposedly mechanical ones do. so its the same force rquired for every keypress vs some slight variation.
assuming you cook 1/4 lb at a time. thats savings of roughly 5.50$ if it takes you 5 minutes to pop and prepare, that 1/12 an hour. so 66$/hour. if you make more than that, this is a great deal. if you make less than that, you should probably do it yourself.
me too. I dont even have google scoreboard anymore (havent in quite a while) but it remembered my teams and when they play it pops up a scoreboard.
Yeah. samsung messed up on a lot of their stuff. I feel like the article is misleading because the microsoft surface looks/behaves nothing like an ipad. so why would they need apple patents, unless they are other non-design related patents... which means it is in no way similar to what samsung is going through.
they're designed for people who can devote time to gaming. I dont own a guitar thats more than 100$. But I certainly understand why people would buy a $1000+ guitar. Just not for me.
I guess it's something to hope for in the future then. :(
more and more OSX is designed for touch though.
