specifically blues for typing and reds/blacks (i like red) for gaming.

Possibly. I haven't played fighting games is a REALLY long time so I don't know much about the status of those. CS 1.6 is a pretty decent one. Diablo 2/SC1 have online communities. SC2 is probably one of the most ideal for pro competition (although korea would always win) but it has far too many updates.

I love aggressive optimism. It is the foundation of all great things.

I hope not. I had a TI-89 and everytime I had to use someones 83 I wanted to punch it. The 83 is such major garbage. its like a regular calculator with more buttons. the TI-89 had such a cooler/cleaner UI and I used mine to play excite bike

I only carry cash for the freak places around here that are cash only. 20$ cash can last me weeks.

If everything was on-demand, i'm pretty sure there will be an app that can "randomize" and will give you a random show (and if you want a random way through the show). Making it no different from channel surfing now, but if you find something that you actually like, you can go back to the beginning.

Email is very entrenched in business. When you need to send a memo with a bit more oomph than an IM, you email it. Isn't an IM inbox essentially the same thing as an email?

I know quite a few people in my office that have desk fans despite it being cold in here. Some people just need the moving air on them I guess.

Most of the problems I experience with linux are either old/solved or self inflicted.

Having run it on my desktop for the past few months, I can't say I've felt "shunned" in any way.

Yeah. linux will never be used for anything serious like server farms.

not all 3d applications have opengl versions and REQUIRE directX. which does NOT work with wine. Games like terraria don't work.

it would. but it only supports metro apps, and thus not custom repos, or things like chrome

According to the valve linux blog, the WINDOWS drivers are improving too.

Yeah. I have ubuntu and archlinux installs right now. Gentoo was my experimental crazy phase back in 2006.

Well when I first got my radeon 5870, getting the amd drivers were insanely complex. Not really linux's fault but I did manage to blow up the entire install once or twice trying to get it working.

Apparently the Netflix CEO is on the board at microsoft.

Games and netflix on linux (for me).

agreed. I can never tell if it's easy to break or if I'm tampering with things that normal people wouldnt deal with.
