As they have refused further vaccination, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re on their forums or whatever saying, ‘see, he lived. It wasn’t that bad, you don’t need to vaccinate.’ I hope the poor kid isn’t permanently physically compromised- but don’t have all that much hope for that. 

The “rusty nail” stereotype of tetanus is frustrating to me as someone in a high risk profession (I’m an archaeologist and have to get a booster every 5 years). It’s a soil bacterium and could be literally anywhere.

So, no vaccines, but the parents allow extensive medical care that was necessary because of a medical emergency due to, not having a vaccinated.
