Forget knowing who Loki was. Casual fans didn’t know who THOR was before “Thor” was released in 2011.

Name recognition is not a thing Marvel concerns themselves with. Nor should it be. It’s actually fun to see a movie about someone you know nothing about.

This is some fine deductive reasoning here. I will buy it.

So here’s my theory on the identities.  It’s a little unclear if the unnamed actress has won any of the three she’s been nommed for. But if we assume she hasn’t won, and if we eliminate those who are deceased, we are left with the following possibles

Joan Allen
Diane Ladd
Angela Landsbury
Piper Laurie
Laura Linney
Michelle

In the 21st century, queer became increasingly used to describe a broad spectrum of non-normative sexual and/or gender identities and politics.

Okay, but doesn’t “queer” imply she might still be sexually attracted to cis/hetero men?

I’m willing to bet the divide between pre-60's and 60's/post-60's music (specifically, the rise in popularity of “rock music” during the 60's) is the reason.

It’s just a phrase, calm down. He’s not going to be replaced and, due to the things you yourself pointed out, he really doesn’t need anyone to defend him and his place in comics.

Because people like her music. Maybe they have different tastes than you. Maybe your taste in this matter is in the minority. It all seems rather obvious.

What changed?

I don’t get the appeal of this Top Gun sequel... I’ll wait to stream this one at home.” LOL. Yes, if you wait to stream Top Gun: Maverick, you definitely don’t get the appeal. Guy watches movie about supersonic IMAX jet action on laptop while browsing TikTok, doesn’t get the appeal. The internet nods. :\

It’s simpler than you think: it’s an AMAZINGLY good movie.

Found one!

Actual headline for a conservative newspaper column in the UK:

Don’t be obtuse.

Thank you for taking the time to write it out. A perfect summary.

Go on a 100 mile ride without padded shorts would be my vote.

Aziz had a widely publicized negative story spread about him with respect to his alleged sexual misconduct (whether or not the allegations were true/false, properly presented/exaggerated doesn’t matter to this discussion).

Expertly presented this story in the clickbait-iest way possible. I’m almost impressed.

“ditching cable” = ~$100/month for 7 years is a whopping $8,400.

I don’t think this would be for a round trip ticket, just a one-way to start a new life. Like what the colonists did in the 1600s when they got rid of most of their possessions in Europe and left on a boat for the USA. Due to it being prohibitively expensive to go back, it would be a permanent move for most.
