Oh my god, that is a genius call back. And here I thought the best one was the stolen DVD kiosk sitting in Jimmy's backyard in the party episode

The full beard he's sporting this season as opposed to season one's mustache really sells the similar appearance.

He didn't know! It's not his fault!

It is true. And Wagner Moura makes them look badass.

I think my favorite thing was Pacho Herrera during that whole scene. He's dropped the smooth talker bit and now just a kind of disdainful but effective guy. He spends that scene looking as if he wants to scream "Oh, now you get it? Do you see what I've been dealing with?"

I mean, I enjoyed that at the end of season 1 they did show him at least learning some words. But considering the environment he's in, he should be conversational by now.

I mean, I liked how Lange played the "I'd tell you line" as a joke, knowing the cliche of it. But yeah, don't worry about the look. That's how the CIA is. For every square-jawed superspy type, there's a two nebbish looking dudes and one weird hippie type who knows where the bodies are buried.

If there's a sneak cut, it's at that moment. Still, that's a long take leading up to it.

I didn't realize it until a day later. I knew the driver-gunman bit was one take, but didn't realize that was just the middle. And then rewatched it. Then my roommate was watching the show and I paid close attention. Great technical and creative work.

Amen. It's weird seeing the smooth Pacho Herrera reduced to the smug and more cruel right hand man of the Oregulas, but that scene was so good. Fear, pragmatism, anger, and an epiphany, all at once.

Stronger than Pablo's badassery when wielding an M4 and a golf sweater.

Pablo Escobar: The only man to kick ass in dad jeans and a golf sweater.

He's evil, but Eric Lange makes Bill so amusing. That conversation was dark but funny. Finally realized where I recognize him from too: Radzinsky from Lost.

It is a rather surprising thing that Pablo's son turned out pretty moral, considering his family.

Martinez's actor is dashing. Feels like he could play Joaquiem de Alameda's brother. Also interesting how they split up the real Martinez's nature in the show's Martinez and the more cowboy cop Carrillo.

Hackers is a cinematic masterpiece with better politics than Mr. Robot and I will stand by that until the day that I die.

I mean, Tyres is rightfully legendary. If you're a Doctor Who fan, Wheatley and Smiley did an episode in season 8, Inside the Dalek. Not great (writing was inconsistent in one of those "new Doctor, getting the kinks worked out" kind of ways) but it's got a touch of Wheatley's flair plus Tyres.

I miss Strike Back.

See his old show Traveler, or better yet, see the Invitation. He's so amazing in his own right.

He's apparently playing some kind of American. People have said his accent's vague and in the show characters try to figure out where he's from.
