Also, they cast Jim Corrigan already. Forget the actor's name, but were at least getting the Spectre in some form.

I feel a deep love for you right now.
That whole bitter, burned out thing came from 150+ issues of friends dying and bad luck. Early Constantine was kind of like the show's version. I liked it. We'll probably see him get broken over the course of the show.
I think that's one of the "pilot problems." Got to get as much appeal and cram a lot in, so some things get lowest common denominators. If the show lives up to its potential, we'll get Mucous Membrane, X, etc. references.
Which, you know, isn't a bad work around. Sucks he can't smoke on screen, but at least they're trying.
He clearly lacked Reggie Ledoux Chas's survival skills.
John ascending and giving Satan the finger as he does so was perfect. Even if the film wasn't even close to a good Hellblazer adaptation, that bit was perfect.
A hardboiled cop who's shadow maybe has the silhouette of the cloaked spectre? A green glow?
The recent relaunch (despite really bad, Twilight covers) was a great horror comic with good Bennett moments. Probably one of the better parts of DC's New 52. Bennett should definitely appear on Constantine.
I mean, wasn't Liv's father Baron Winters? Jaspar Winters?
I love the band.
If part of the show is him getting more rumpled as the season goes on, or having to go sharply-dressed to get into some high-end thing to stop baddies, then I'd love it.
It would be cool to see the Arabic Doctor Fate from the current Earth 2 comic show up.
Constantine making a joke about the trenchcoat at the end made me smile.
Hey man, Detective Leo Banks is now an angel. Maybe he did die at 42 and ascended. Wonder if Det. Eric Delahoy will show up as a demon or something.
True. I just liked the idea that the self-made warlock would be a bit of a dandy. Joe Strummer wore nice suits, so could Constantine. And when he gets it back in Diggle's initial Hellblazer arc to get over his guilt, it's awesome.
That's the cocky and "try anything to stay ahead" John I know and love.
The Clash win. Hell, they're the band that got John Constantine into punk rock. The Clash win.
If Sting ever did that to Alan Moore, I would buy Sting quite a few rounds at a bar.
Ryan and some other people pointed out that, yeah, he's from Liverpool, but he mainly lives in London and has been all over that his accent has changed.
