I remember one Christmas I asked my mom for either Jackal or Super Mario Bros. 2. I remember SMB2 being really hard to find at the time and figured I’d just be happy with getting Jackal. I opened up the present and lo and behold it’s the great Super Mario Brothers 2. I love that game.

It was Christmas ‘98. My family has their annual Christmas gathering on Christmas Eve, and we met like we always did that year. I remember opening a gift from my grandparents to find Banko-Kazooie, and thinking, “I don’t have an N64, I can’t play this.” I was young, and I figured someone made a mistake, which is

Let me tell you the magical story of the night I got the super nintendo entertainment system. Twas the night before Christmas, and wee little child me stuffed full of food and rich desserts had just ripped open the packaging to reveal the SNES, my uncle set up a small tv in the family room on the floor and I laid on

My uncle used to work with Microsoft’s marketing department back in the early 00s, and since he had access to the Company Store he’d hook us all up with the latest Xbox releases for Christmas. I still have all of them floating around in my collection. They’re easy to pick out because they have the massive “Company

Its like a low poly, truncated Ford Flex.
Related, I’m kinda wondering how this 8-bit design language will age. Looks cool/hip/edgy whatever now though & I’m kinda digging it.

I’ve been playing some games on Easy difficulty lately, otherwise I would never play them because there’s enough games I don’t have the time for something that takes a lot to get through.

His partner confirmed that he passed away on Friday. Somehow it’s three days later and there hasn’t been a single mention of it in any sort of official capacity here.

where. is. the. article. about. fahey.

Not really. VRR(or any of the refresh sync options) is really more about preventing screen tearing and to smooth small frame rate drops(says 20% change). When shaders compile they literally pause the screen for a moment, IE FPS = 0.   So the VRR won’t help

I have a 3090 connected to a TV that supports VRR, and the stutters were still noticeable. I think shader compilation stutters aren’t like normal, small frametime inconstencies, so VRR doesn’t really help.

Listen, you do what works for you, but I’ve been playing on PCs since before PCs had mice and I swear I don’t get people who play console action games on keyboard and mouse. It feels so weird and jerky when games aren’t built specifically around it.

Current gen” would make sense.

Umm wrong article

Nah, fuck that.

Someone needs to work on their linking skills.

this was one wild ride, but an interesting story nonetheless, thank you for sharing!

How am I going to get sick when I’ve just been tying these onions to my belt, which has been the style for some time now?

Hello! To answer your question, no thr outage did not affect Link, or Airlink. I was able to open Oculus on my PC, enable air link, and then use my Quest 2 and do the same. The only thing that didn’t work was downloading new games from the store, or any other online service. But I was able to still use the Quest 2

I remember this. My thought was, “Doh!”
