Corn!
Corn!
I could! But it's been a while since I watched it because I'm not in the habit of rewatching things, and it's dumb to list it all out in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon in an internet comments section.
I think another aspect that made season 4 "difficult" for some was that it was more depressing than the other seasons. The family was clearly at its lowest point, and it seemed off putting at times. I liked that though because it made the characters feel more real.
I just kind of like hearing Howard's voice so I don't mind his narration.
The George Sr. episodes get a lot of shit, but I think the first Michael one in four is the worst. It was dumb that they let a bad episode be the start of a new season after a seven year hiatus. It definitely gets better, and the Maeby and GOB episodes are probably some of the best of the series.
Lady Dynamite more than any other show has felt like a successor to AD. It's really great.
I have not had enough of her schtick. I love Maria Bamford.
I think Hurwitz was trying to see how far he could take sitcom episodes in the Netflix "whatever you want" format. In 2012 and 2013, streaming channel originals were still somewhat of a new concept, and it was kind of unknown what a Netflix sitcom should look like. I think subsequent Netflix and streaming sitcoms have…
Yeah, even as someone who really loved the fourth season, I think that part was awful. I think 4 had some of the lowest lows of the show, but it had enough to make up for them. It's a shame almost all of the bad material is front loaded in the season.
I kind of agree that it was a mess, but I think all of the series is a mess at times. Season 3 has an extremely rushed and haphazard feel (which adds to the comedy) and season 2 has a rushed ending. Only season 1 seems completely true to what they intended because it was the only season that they made with the…
Even if it was bad (which I completely disagree with), how would additional "bad" seasons impact the good aspects of the show? Bad sequels don't retroactively turn originals into garbage.
It was not jarringly bad. It was stylistically different and had a slow start. Those facts combined with the exceedingly high expectations from people made viewers extremely harsh.
This is such a lame way of "proving" it's funny. I watched it and I laughed a lot. Roughly more or less than I laughed during the original seasons. Implying you have to produce evidence to the funny court about a show from three years ago is ridiculous.
It's a legitimately great show, probably the best TV show airing if you take into consideration how much its scale dwarfs everything else around. I don't get the amount of criticism it gets from some people. It feels like people hold it to higher standards than other shows and movies just because it's popular, at…
You want the good writing but you need the bad pussy.
Dinklage is never not great, but it makes zero sense that he won for season five and not season four.
Carice van Houten probably had some of her best scenes this season too. I hope she and some of the other overlooked Game of Thrones cast members get a lot of work when it's over.
Or Fallon being nominated for anything, other than a swift death, is pretty awful too.
I think I've felt bad for Frank since the beginning. He's not a bad guy and he's stuck in a loveless marriage.
Yeah, this show is absolutely much better than it sounds on paper. "YouTube show that mocks kids shows" sounds awful, but DHMIS is extremely well done,
