For as much ire as Leno attracted, I actually think Fallon was a massive downgrade from even him. Fallon is so sycophantic and cloying that I find his show impossible to watch. Leno at least had very sporadic funny moments.

Yeah, it gets kind of odd because there are still some really good episodes each season. Maybe not many, but they definitely still deserve praise. The movie, for example, was easily seasons 1-9 quality.

Is this the unavoidable and undeserved Mad Men backlash? I'm surprised it took this long for people to retroactively call what was probably the most brilliant television drama ever "forgettable".

Reagan is dead inside from finding himself compelled to beat up aides all the time.

Reagan's introduction is one of my favorite comedy scenes in a long time. Showalter's squeals as he's beating up Ron were amazing.

WHAT do you do if disgraced vocalist, Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is in your bathroom and won't come out? Call the coroner! *crying moans and whimpers*

I think my biggest disappointment this summer was the fact that On Cinema didn't have a new season to coincide with Ant-Man. There needed to be a Tim freak out to end all freak outs.

I actually thought this first episode was a let down but every other episode I've watched has been amazing. I think it was just a case of the first one setting up the rest and sacrificing jokes for plot.

The Roose & Ramsay show might lose steam after the eighth consecutive old woman skinning.

And together we're gonna run around, Ramsay, we're gonna… do all kinds of wonderful things, Ramsay. Just you and me, Ramsay. The outside world is our enemy, Ramsay… we're the only…. friends we've got, Ramsay! It's just Roose and Ramsay. Roose and Ramsay and their adventures, Ramsay.. Roose AND Ramsay FOREVER AND

As important as that phrase is to the gang and Odenkirk, I don't understand how he hasn't been on the show yet.

I disagree. Changing the name from "The Daily Show" would've almost been like a tacit acknowledgement that the show could never be as good without Jon Stewart, and would seem incredibly defeatist.

Season 18 was probably one of the best seasons of the show ever. They changed the show's formula by adding continuity and it worked out really well. Season 17 kind of blew, in my opinion, but even that had some really strong episodes.

This is an entertainment journalism site with a comically focused news section, which itself is spun off of a satirical and entirely fictional newspaper. I kind of come expecting snarky attitudes, and the site delivers.

The intervention scene was really confusing. I'm normally pretty happy to see Broderick in anything but there was literally zero context for how he knew Hader's character.

My name is Agnes and you know it's Agnes! It means lamb! Lamb of God!

I think some of what you said is a little overblown, and I tend to think entertainment deserves a little more credit than you give it in order for a society to function, but I also agree that film criticism is often a sort of fruitless effort. I think there's an important point in the middle between saying film and

It's been said countless times, but the weakest episodes really are at the start of the season. It gets a lot better. I do find it curious how a lot of people had similar reactions to you and were so quick to turn on something that was once universally beloved. The amount of time it takes to see the season through to

I love Hannibal-I've seen him perform twice live-but this was pretty disappointing. It seemed really mild and kind of toothless, which is not what I expect from him at all. I'm hoping it gets better as I know he's capable of great comedy.
