I really think this show could benefit from 13 episode order seasons, with no chance of more being ordered, like Sleepy Hollow. It'd allow for concise storylines where the writers have a defined end point, and make its premieres and finales be more like "event television." Plus, it'd cut down on filler episodes.

Not trying to be pessimistic, but I can't count how many times a show has used "season finale" when it was obvious it was a series finale.

To this show's detriment, it's pretty much making the same mistakes Fringe did in its first season. This is unfortunate because I'm pretty confident Almost Human could become a great show given enough time, just like Fringe. I just doubt it'll get enough time because the television environment is more hostile now than

I just got done making a few posts about why you shouldn't be so nitpicky with this show, but I'll admit the pen stuff bothered me. But mostly because the Red Universe in Fringe was supposed to not have pens (to the point that a teenager in, I believe, "The Plateau" was confused by one), but actually did in quite a

Exactly. There are many, many reasons why her blindness might not be feasible to deal with in this show's vision of 2048. But ultimately, if the story demands a blind person for an interesting story (admittedly, I haven't seen this one yet so I can't say if it was good or not), and it doesn't contradict the fiction's

Just because this exists today, doesn't mean it isn't vastly better 40 years from now. I mean, the internet technically existed for decades before it was adopted. And even besides technical improvements, there's still a lag time in cultural adoption of technology. Smart phones, for example, were used by Japanese

I am confident those details are ambiguous on purpose. Fringe followed the same model of largely episodic storytelling at first, which lead to a majority of main-storyline episodes later on. I'm comfortable without knowing what's beyond The Wall, or where the city is for now. If this was say, in the middle of season

Couldn't world building be more solidified in a hypothetical second season? I think it's fair to compare this show to Fringe, and while Fringe was always good, it was far from what it would become this early in its run. Plus, a lot of its world building started later on when previous Fringe events were used again;

Yeah, but it's hardly that big of a spoiler, and more so just narrative common sense. Sure, this series has killed main characters, but there are still some that are critical enough that they need plot invulnerability. Tyrion, just from the seasons aired so far, is pretty much that.

I think everyone of us has probably had their parents say worst things. Parents and kids fight.

Like I said, I've been crazy/vegetarian since I was seven (in fact, I've always been kind of proud of myself that I "beat" Lisa, a cartoon character, by a year). It just really is odd watching her eat meat in classic episodes.

I became a vegetarian when I was seven (16 years ago) for similar reasons as Lisa, so this has always been one of my favorites. Like the reviewer, I find episodes before this where Lisa is eating meat to be really awkward now, because it really is such a natural extension of her character, that it seems like this

Even for dressage.

I'd say Arrested Development's the best, Seinfeld (and CYE) are really close.

That's really unfair to BSG. Yeah, you could tell the ending of that show's mythology wasn't going to make sense, but its character's stories and interactions are among the best that TV has to offer. There were never moments where characters acted anywhere near as inconsistent and insane as Coven.

So existential!

Yeah, somehow they out-disturbed attempted rape in the span of a week.

I do enjoy the show's casual contempt for its audience too.

I always imagine voice acting sessions with big names to be like that scene with Krusty doing lines for his doll in "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy".

Maybe we should do a something search to figure out what this "Google" thing is.
