It's been said many times, but it really can't be said enough either. Watch them all. I've considered Arrested Development my favorite… thing (period) of all time since it aired, and even I found the first few episodes slow. However, when I saw it all, and re-watched, they got much better in context.

Wait a second… It hasn't been full retard for the past 50 years?…

Wait a minute… Are you saying The Simpsons hasn't been consistently good for all of its run? What other groundbreaking opinions do you have?

Conan left in season four, and is credited with four episodes. I will never get why people bring him up as if he was a prime force behind the classic years. He was certainly a part of them, and he was immensely talented, but he's hardly responsible for anywhere near a sizable percentage of this show's best work.

Was that the Philadelphia stop on his tour? I was there too. I think I kind of freaked out when I figured out Tina Fey was going to be the cameo as he was announcing her.

I'm kind of surprised Arrested Development made neither list. The caliber of some of these shows that made it isn't exactly extraordinary, in my opinion.

It was a translation device.

The decline started before the ridiculously long couch gags. I'd say, more frequent usage of extended couch gags began around season 14 or 15. Prior to that, there was only one to my knowledge-the chorus line from season four. The over-abundance of these extended couch gags is more a symptom of the decline than

I liked Roger, of all people, pointing out that Santa's scheme makes no sense.

Steve's shrieks of terror when the sentient toilet paper was burning alive continued to prove that Scott Grimes is the best screamer in the business. I liked the little touch that he was trying to save him but Krampus was holding him back.

"I've got almost too many hands for jobs." That was so predictable and yet so funny.

That bit about the moon was hilarious. The whole episode was gloriously stupid.

Yup! It's details like that which really set this show apart. He died, and Roger's goons just kept going.

Yeah, but if you add Amy Poehler to the mix, it's the greatest thing in the history of humanity. Though that's true for pretty much anything she's involved in.

I'll never quite understand the negative response to it. I thought it was one of the best television seasons I've ever seen. It was brilliant.

I'm pulling for more Arrested Development. I think it could stay good if it becomes a sort of "there's a new season, when there's a new season" kind of thing like Curb Your Enthusiasm. Which it seems like it's going to be.

It's the worst show on television!

Good points. I share your wish as Family Guy really does excel at humor like that, and yet there's little acknowledgement of it.

Yeah, but there's pretty much no redeeming aspects in Delaware. At least you have pretty weather, culture, and palm trees there. Delaware has… a higher cancer rate and a *replica* of the Liberty Bell at our Governor's Mansion. We don't even have replicas of top tier monuments, we have C-list monument replicas.

It was more jarring than most cartoon characters locked in permanent stasis since she's pretty much the only character on American Dad (as well as one of the few on any of the Fox cartoons) to have a continuing plot.
