Yeah, it wasn't really the best to start with, but it was Christmas time, and it had just aired, so it seemed appropriate at the time.

They haven't, but Eagleheart on Adult Swim did that same joke earlier this year. Obviously, American Dad arrived at it independently due to how the production schedule works.
