Last-gen C-class got it right:

Is there an option to make it stay in there?

Fifty grand and their media option is sticky-taping an iPad to the dash

I showed your comment to my truck-driving, equestrian, accountant wife. She was displeased

My neighbor has one of those. He said it would struggle to pull their old pop-up up the mountains so he bought an F-150 EcoBoost. Now that F-250 sits on the street with a brand new 6" lift kit and 35" tires. I think about the only time they move it is to free up parking space for parties :)

I feel ya. Mine made 230/300 twenty years ago at sea level. Being a Mopar with nearing 200k on the clock and living a mile high, I’d be surprised if it nets half of that any more :\

Nobody really did. That Detroit was slop and everyone knew it.

All of them.

Until now I thought engine brake and exhaust brake were interchangeable terms. Thanks atfsgeoff(did I get that right?) You learned me something new today

A few pounds makes little difference when these trucks are churning out all the torques.

Engine brakes are on option on all three makes.

What does that have to do with wanting a vehicle that is more evenly matched against the payload?

Cooling.

I tow ~6,000 lbs worth of camper with a ‘95 Dodge Dakota. Sure it gets the job done, and our last trip to Estes Park and back averaged 12.1 MPG, but that doesn’t mean we’re not looking to get a 2500 to make it effortless. We haven’t had any issues but that trailer weighs 2,000 lbs more than the truck itself and it

Sure it does. Limiting power in early gears is by no means a new thing; my old ‘87 Saab SPG was torque limited in 1st and 2nd to keep the transmission from grenading. Actually, I’m fairly certain just about every high-output vehicle has torque limiting in early gears to some extent.

shhh; let the troll be

I plan on keeping my phone, which has a data port and an audio port, and not having to deal with this tripe

I kno rite?!

I’ve carried, but haven’t had to use, an EpiPen for many years. I’m allergic to most nuts but not so bad that it’s immediate - I know within a chew if something contains nuts and out the mouth it goes. I’ve always felt comfortable though, knowing that if I didn’t catch it in that first second and the reaction worsened
