I had a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 - SLT Laramie, 4x4, 5.9 (360), all options save leather. At the time, fair book value for private party was around five grand. I had it listed for $2000 because I was done with watching it eat 46RE transmissions. I figured a three grand discount for an otherwise immaculate truck was a…
Can’t say I agree. I could never love the cheeky grin of the pre-facelift models. The facelift, although it looks a bit haphazard, has a more muscular (read: non-Tiburon) expression
I’d end up pulling the whole car
DAMNATION! I could really use a new chair in the workshop :)
How much does a replacement seat for an XC90 run? Do you have that info yet? I’m asking for, uh, a friend
Longbow is right, a transverse 3800 requires block modifications to mate to a T5. also the intake manifold is a longitudinal unit. Swappable, yes, but making it hard to believe this was once a transverse V6
Supposedly QuadraSteer3 had fixed the issues of the previous units, including being able to use more robust diffs and the G80 locker. It was less expensive as well. Unfortunately Delphi went tits up before it could be released and the product was shelved indefinitely.
The major thing wrong with the Delphi QuadraSteer module was it was too expensive. As a system, and in practice, it was rather robust and did just exactly what was expected. Have you ever driven one?
I know! Picked it up for $900. It’s also the Most Jalop Truck in the World™, beating the Mazda REPU on the Jalopmeter by twelve points
Yeah my wife has been driving trucks and trailering horses since day one. Her first car was a Ram 2500 4x4 :)
Hear hear!
Mission Accomplished
Fun fact: I had a 1987 turbo pickup. It was the best damned little pickup ever. I still lament losing it in a hit and run
Except Minesweeper is fun
