Danny Bahar can do whatever the fuck he wants. Doesn't mean it's gonna work out
Well slap my ass and call me a bitch! Lamborghini is making an attractive car again!
Gotta put a vote in for the VIZIO. Best bang for your buck right there. Easy setup, no fuss, no worries! I bought that set for my wife's sewing room and it made me go and upgrade the speakers on my 7.1 component system in the living room because they couldn't come close to that VIZIO's output and clarity :D

I'm rather well versed in the subject, which is why I've steered well clear of this train-wreck of a topic
Apology accepted.
Oh well excuuuuse me princess, I took your "production cars" (quotes not mine) as an emphasis on the right location for the information one would be seeking in order to become more well-versed in the subject at hand. I mean, that was your point, correct? To enlighten and enrich the lives and minds of fellow Jalops,…
I tried starting with the "production cars" wiki page, but it doesn't exist. Maybe, since you're an SME, you should create it to school everybody, eh?
I love this song and really wish Semisonic had stood a better chance. Also, now reliving my high school years through Pandora :|
If you don't find that important, then go ahead. Be the security risk.
It was however IE8 is the last version compatible with XP, whereas 7 gets 11 (so far). The only reason anyone running Windows 7 should have IE8 is because they turned automatic updates off and haven't patched their machine since it came out of the box.
I say this to my side clients: It's kinda like oil changes for your car. Sure, the car [computer] stays the same but you get fresh stuff inside [OS, updates, etc] and the car [computer] stays running [relevant] for longer.
I agree wholeheartedly but IE8 is EOL. Time to upgrade to IE11, the best IE experience ever.
No OS updates
No security updates
No Out-of-band fixes
No in-band fixes
It's an abandoned OS
The same thing happened with carburetors
Do you still own a flip-phone?
DirectX9 is also dead
I'll bet you liked Clippy too
LOL PAE
IE8 is dead too
My SOX compliance is tingling
I'm in IS too, in a multi-billion $ company with over 50,000 employees. I know all about how quick technology moves (We still run Server 2003 for some applications and - the scary part- our functional level is 2000 Server). Of course each company's technology is different, just posting my experiences and wondering…
Have you tried compatibility mode? They have tried to tell me the same thing: "blah blah won't work bullshit bullshit IE8 etc etc". I've even been told by some people that things won't work outside IE6. I E Goddamn Six. Everything here, in my previous company and the one before that worked just fine in…
Horror stories abound :)
Which is also stupid.
There's a really easy fix for that. I think people give away copies of Vista for free these days, and it's not a horrible operating system. Or, upgrade to 8 because, all things considered, it's a functional, stable and lightweight OS.
Seriously, nearly a quarter are still using IE8? Come on people, it's time to let go of XP.
