I would hope that he's off recruiting little birds 'cause he was kinda off his game on the whole Euron, Highgarden, Casterly Rock advance info. Not anticipating Euron I'll forgive but Varys should have known about the Lannisters abandoning Casterly Rock. Very poor spying on that one.
I comforted myself about Tyrion by noting that cutting off the supply lines to King's Landing was part of his plan. The grand plan didn't work out but this one part of it did. And he was right about it being dangerous for Dany. Her fall (before it became graceful) was a little slice of validation for him.
Yeah, I think that was to show that the Children of the Forest were more like primitive men which is a bit backwards considering their mad magic skills but I guess their particular talents had more to do with creating white walkers than drawing.
But I was still frustrated with the idea that taking Casterly Rock was a presented as a genius move…
Alrighty! I'll go with that because I really, really want Dany to win :)
Other than Theon floating in the water looking over all those burning ships? I actually find it a little comforting to think that the remaining Iron born (at least those loyal to Yara) will just continue on to Dorne (without Elia or Sandsnakes) to pick up army and continue with the grand plan…
Was anyone else incredibly frustrated with Dany's not-so-grand battle plan? I know they had to get the Martell army to Kings Landing but she just lost her whole fleet. Didn't Blackwater prove that ships can be used as more than transport (or pirates)? The whole thing could have been avoided with just one dragon…
