Emotional not logical.
The Puppets were silly.
That's why they've been sent to the trash bin.
The CGI was fine since it was used sparingly.
But hey in the end were still talking about the 4th best Star Wars movie.

Even if Touchdown Tommy gets hit by a bus Jimmy G will still score 35.

But a puppet didn't?

"Shit" is a bit harsh.
It looked better than Avatar!
The uncanny valley is become more like a ditch.
In a few more years Marylin Monroe will be co-starring in the next Amy Schumer comedy.

Come up with that all on your own did ya?

Jesus dude it Star Wars not the Bible.
I thought it was kinda cool.
This series has a history of major characters being animated objects.

Yeah the 'uncanny valley' and all that.
Spielberg just wasted two years of his life on a CG movie that no one saw.

Everyone freaking out about this needs to chill.
This show started off with puppets for christ sake.
It's only a movie.
They really should be wondering where the next Harrison Ford is hiding because so far no one they've hired is even close.
When Adam Driver took off his Darthy mask the audience in the theater I was in

Knowing that Cushing was dead I picked up on it right away but my wife who had no idea was completely fooled. She was quite amazed when I told her he was a cartoon. So the more you give a fuck the more you'll notice and care but the less fucks you give the more it doesn't matter.

You're kidding right?
Why would they be wearing motorcycle helmets?

Dude, It's on video! It's not a lie. I've seen it with my own two eyes a dozen times.

I just saw Rogue One and thought it was the 4th best Star Wars movie to date.
The other 3 all have a much younger Harrison Ford in them.
My issue is this, what's the point of the storm trooper armor if a guy with a stick can take you out?
It also seems that a lightweight pistol can defeat the armor as well.
Is it all

This movie, which I am looking forward to seeing, along with Deepwater Horizon and earlier The Perfect Storm is about the victims. these films pay tribute to the faceless injured and dead who are just numbers in a headline for most of us. The ignorant snark in the comments below is just depressing.

So you haven't seen it then.

Can you name even one victim?
You probably will be able to after seeing the movie.

"Our cynicism was crystallized not only by years of unabashedly politicized coverage—of which Matt Taibbi astutely noted, “Media power comes from trust and respect, and both are eroded quickly if you only ever give people what they want to hear”—but also by scandals such as the one that hit Taibbi’s own Rolling Stone

"Despite its odd Golden Globes success, Mozart strangely has never quite had the buzz I would say it deserves. But it’s now had three seasons of wacky, smart comedy and it should be applauded."

Classic "do I really want to schlepp to the theater to see this" movie.

I guess our difference is you think Everest is a good movie. I don't. I think it was so busy trying to be accurate it didn't get into the heads of the people who put themselves in such danger for no real reason. I had a hard time caring about foolish people taking unreasonable risks with loved ones at home. Perhaps

"But that's not really a story you want to embellish, what's the point of that?"
Titanic was a 'death march' but of course a strong filmmaker found a way to reinvent the story and be incredibly accurate at the same time. Everest just wasn't cinematic enough to be memorable. Compare it to The Perfect Storm for example.
