They did the same thing with the Division (granted Ubisoft is just the publisher here). The Division is getting a lot of praise now and a big number of returning players after all the improvements.
Maybe if people understood what they talked about, they would know that pirating games doesn’t get you around any performance issues as cracked games still have the DRM running in the background.
Curious that a lot of people are complaining about this. If anything, this seems pretty positive to me. Ubisoft is being very transparent about post-launch support: this is what you are going to get for money, this is what you are going to get for free. If you are interested then buy, if not, then don’t.
There is no mini-map and you do’t have an option to bring it up (as far as I know at least). Instead you have a simply Skyrim-like navigation bar to find points of interst. The idea is to make you focus more on exploration and enjoy the beauty of Ancient Egypt.

Riot is giving the money to the organastions, not the players. The org’s have the right to do whatever they want with the money, however, they need to pay the players fairly or Riot can ban the team/owner from their professional scene.
Riot is extremly smart at promoting their game. They are literally operating the League of Legends esports scene on a loss because for them it is a promotional tool. The post is misleading, that’s what Riot pays however the vast majority of pro players get paid more from their teams. What Riot pays is supposed to be ‘’extra help’’ to the team so that they can pay their players fairly, it isn’t supposed to be the entire wage.
