Machined/forged one piece wheels (Like the BBS FI or HRE P101) are expensive because it takes a lot of machine time to cut them out of the billet block and a REALLY long time to polish them after…

Peak horsepower you are correct. However, DFI/EFI will always have a flatter curve all else being equal. A computer can change fuel ratios mid stream and advance/retard timing based on RPM and ratio to achieve the flattest curve possible. So identical peak power? Yes
