THIS THREAD IS NOW ALL MANUAL PCARS PICS!

rotary forged wheels do not have the strength as true forged wheels on the face

Sorry, one more time though. Flow forged wheels are not cast. They are forged from smaller billets than a fully forged wheel. However, instead of machining the barrel in a fully forged wheel, they heat the smaller and thicker barrel section of a flow forged wheel, and pressure-form it (that ‘flow’ process). No part of

I understand now. Yes, I agree.

Ah, okay. I see what you are saying. Yes the grain structure is not aligned.

You’re half right. Flow Form/forged does not reduce strength in the face of the wheel. The face of the wheel (the spokes) is machined just like a traditional forged wheel is. The flow/form process happens at the barrel end. The reduces machine and polishing time and cuts the costs in half sacrificing some rim/barrel

Woah. No just no. CAST and FORGED are very different ways of making a wheel. CAST is pouring (gravity fed or pressurized) molten metal billets and/or ingots into a mold and cooling it. Forged is machining a cylinder of metal into the wheel shape. Traditional forging machines the entire wheel. Flow Formed/forged

Sorry to break your bubble but that’s not why they are expensive. Metal is cheap. It’s the machine time that costs so much. Machined/forged one piece wheels (Like the BBS FI or HRE P101) are expensive because it takes a lot of machine time to cut them out of the billet block and a REALLY long time to polish them after

I loved quoting this... until i found out he never said/wrote that:

I know it’s flippant but this non-answer is hilarious.

Elon is that you? Also thanks for this info.

Like in Porsche’s ownership contract/paperwork, Tesla can forbid you from selling the car for a profit within a set period of time after taking ownership. If you do anyway, they have legal right at first dibs and have a right to any profit of the sale.

WRONG! According to Bernie, F1 doesn’t need young people because young people don’t buy Rolexes, UBSes or Santanders.

YES! THis is the one I had. That damn bank never closed properly and would jam as you tried to push it back down. And I still loved it.

And now we know:

Also might add that his work is flawless. If you’ve seen one of his builds you’ll see that you get what you pay for in quality. Unfortunately, I’ve seen guys like ‘creaminz’ take a RWB and ruin it by adding and modding parts after Nakai is done, but without the attention to detail.. which is a nice way of saying, they

Peak horsepower you are correct. However, DFI/EFI will always have a flatter curve all else being equal. A computer can change fuel ratios mid stream and advance/retard timing based on RPM and ratio to achieve the flattest curve possible. So identical peak power? Yes

Just saw your comments here so I decided to take a look myself. Mike, did you go to that page? It was created this morning. It’s clearly a fake account. Check it out yourself and I would also change your comment or redact it for posterity.

For all of my fellow sound engineering geeks out there, THIS is how you do good sound engineering and editing.
