I’ve said this same thing to people who ask why TGUK works and other series are terrible. The three hosts have perspicacity and were writers/journalists first and car guys second. That matters more than anything else.

They’re also safer. Laying on the horn before an accident will snap your wrist or arm when the airbag goes off on a center horn steering wheel.

Edit: I take it all back. I see in the provided link it’s a manual. There are two shifter cables that run under the car. They may have been able to extend them or give them a ‘kink’ or something, but I do not know how they did that reliably.
