Don't lemon laws in the US allow you to return the car after 30-60 days in the shop. I bet many of the GT3 owners would just say screw it and return it for something else. I'm over simplistic there but I bet that has something to do with it. Also, maybe depreciation cost?

Crap. I pretty much glorify the 997 GTS as the best 'value' 911 in that it slots between the 997 C2S and 997 GT3 and its option list totals a fraction of what you would have to pay to option a C2S to the same caliber. It's why I want one so badly. And I totally agree, these guys just slapped on a few stripes. …
