FWIW..I actually prefer the sail pillars.   I think it gave it a more expressive and aggressive side profile.  Now it just looks like a bland pickup truck from the side.  

The grill isn’t the problem, its the damn license plate they put right in the middle of it.  They should have gone the Alfa route, and put it on the bumper just off to the side.  Ask Torch to photoshop that and you’ll see.

Beautiful car but it also looks like they took the chassis / tub of the Alfa 4c and put new bodywork front/ rear and created this car.    The side profile from the base of the windshield to the b pillar looks oddly familiar.
