Curious what’s the cost per hour (maintenance included) of a Osprey vs Twin Huey vs Chinook is. Might have been more cost effective to go with a Chinook (cost vs lbs of water carried) but you wouldn’t have the speed of an Osprey.

What’s worse, the cheezy bar or the fact the vertical bar goes through the intake manifold? I’m skeptical you can handle the steering load through the thin 1" vertical bar anyway. The hole through the manifold is also great for idle control

Does anyone think the proportions are slightly off? It looks like you should take a foot out between the door and the rear wheel. I’m assuming to reverse the car, it would be only electric drive to do this? Since it has no gearbox and its a direct drive to the diff, there would be no other way to reverse direction of the engine drive.

When the bike was stopped and throttle blipping, it sounded more like a V-twin than an inline 4. They could have dubbed the sound.

The cost is in the actual rebuilding. You can get a brand new LS crate motor for $6k (or a rebuilt one for $4k) and a weekend with your friends to swap it out for your old one. RX shows its not necessary but because it is far superior in everything else in this segment. I think the RX could completely kill it even more if they had a 3rd row. I think that’s the only thing that is keeping the sales going for the MDX, and any other near luxury CUV’s w/ 3 rows.

I wasn’t referring to beating Audi on the track for the overall win but coming to the track with the level of preparedness that Audi has in the past. A top level OEM shouldn’t have transmission issues in the first hour if they did their homework in testing.

But they came in third in both Sebring and Le Mans and were bulletproof for the majority of the race. They didn't have failing trannys 1 hour into the race.
