That’s the sad part. If you want to play the latest games at medium settings, that’s what you’re gonna pay every few years. I’ve been upgrading my PC for $500 a pop every three or four years and playing old games instead. (I’m on Fallout 3 right now, not-so-coincidentally.)

I should give up on ever getting Cubeworld. They disabled the store by the time I decided I’d play the current version.

Looks like they just ported the mobile version’s graphics. Which is a shame, because I personally really like it on the iPad. The game looks and plays great, despite all the people who complain about the screenshots and the art direction.

All early FF sprite work was chibi, look at Terra from FF6. Although the character designs by Amano are gorgeous watercolors, it was adapted from chibi concept art, so really, the updated version isn’t that big of a change (Kinja is being a pain with formatting, dumping all the art below):
