He said "station wagon," not wagon. And I would argue that wagons, station wagons, and shooting brakes are subsets of "hatchback."

The Phaeton was not and is not superior to the S-Class. That's some Grade-A bullshit.
The Porsche Cayenne did not create its segment. It came out in 2001. Its chief rival — the BMW X5 — arrived a coupe years before, in the late 90s.
This'll change everything! Just you wait...
This batmobile styling approaches the level of caricature. Yes, it looks like a Cadillac, but if Cadillac wants to change and appeal to new people, how exactly is it a good thing to look like a Cadillac?
The said it's going to be smaller because the 7 and A8 offer LWB versions and the S is only sold with a long wheelbase in the US.
Less weight is a good goal, but it's not like S-Class customers care how much their car weighs. Most of them don't know.
I wonder what an auto *option* would do for sales. Would have the benefit of helping performance, too. Since Sergio is taking over Ferrari, can't he lend their double clutch to the Viper? It's one of the best in the business, and is capable of handling insane power and torque.
I'm actually not that confused about the GLA45's existence. People want performance in their CUVs too. This is a post-X5, post-Cayenne world.
No one *needs* an S63 AMG Coupe, but boy, it'd be nice to have one.
Fiat saved Chrysler so Chrysler could save Fiat.
I take all of your points. I, too, waited years for the Estoque to come and was bitterly disappointed when it didn't. I thought it was one of the most gorgeous sedans ever.
Call me crazy, but I'd rather it had a tuned V10. Then it could use the Huracan's double clutch since a cruiser does not need a single clutch automated manual. Plus, it'd give the car more passenger room.
I don't find it retro. It's definitely influenced by the Miura, but it's also influenced by modern Lambo design upfront, out back, and with the air intake of the profile. I find the Miura concept from a few years back retro. It was rebuilding an old design with modern details. This is more like building a new design…
He said they may still use the design. They like it. Idk about you, but I'd take an Asterion with 600-700 horsepower from a non-hybrid drivetrain.
That is so fucking sexy.
I get your point, but Lamborghini does have SUV heritage. They built the LM002 before it was cool to have an SUV, and it's become a cult classic.
I absolutely agree that the Asterion is gorgeous, lovely, and elegant. And as a true Lamborghini fan, I've long believed they should enter GT segments (and this vehicle is a very fast cruiser, not a track car).
Meanwhile, in Hethel, Lotus's new CEO is most fascinated in building an SUV. Which is truer to the spirit of Lotus — an Esprit revival or a Cayenne competitor?
Fantastic design and engineering. I'd prefer a different color scheme, but will others be offered?
