Yes! Tiny eyes, flared nostrils, overstretched top lip, hair dyed dark while eyebrows are still ginger = WRONG FACE.

Thank god - I thought the world had gone mad.

Am I the only person in the world who finds Benedict Cumberpatch really, really unattractive? Like, actually repulsive. Anyone?

Nitrous oxide, we did it in NZ! Called is nos for short.

That's true, we should really try and be sympathetic to their inhibitions and not shame them, or try to make them come out before they're ready. I'm an out and proud cakeosexual, and I'll happily continue fellating cakes in public to set an example for others.

She'd stand out anyway! Especially in the same dress, same colour, but not so SHINY.

Eek. Can imagine that would require a lot of patient deleting and de-tagging.

That's what I was thinking! It's a cake. A delicious phallic cake. Why be prudish about cake?

Not always. I can think of a few photos of me in my early 20s posing like a 'sexy' maniac while very drunk, that shocked the hell out of me when I saw them sober. Thank god facebook happened slightly after this mortifying phase.

I love Michelle Obama, but that dress is all wrong for this event. Everyone else is dressy-corporate, and she looks like she's going to a cocktail party. Too shiny!

I think in Paton's case it just has to do with name recognition. There aren't many Charlizes or Tildas about so they can go by first name only, but there sure are a lot of Kirstens and Elizabeths, as well as Ryans, Christophers, Andys and Nicks, so they go by their more distinctive surnames. That's all.

I know! And there's only one other nominee in the category, and it's from that movie Rio, so I'm pretty sure Brett has this in the bag.

Yes, I am aware of that. But it's a silent film, not a foreign language film, and it's set in Hollywood.

That's a good point, I didn't consider the whole submissions process. It would still be great if they scrapped the Foreign list, IMO, and all films could be considered equally. But in reality this would lead to fewer foreign films getting attention, I suppose.

I know it's not strictly 'limited', but non-US films are few and far between. While I can see them wanting to make a distinction between 'English language films' and 'other', I just think that now they've expanded the list from 5 to 10 films they could combine them and the overall quality would be raised.

Another lacklustre year of 'Best Films'.

OK so Jez didn't list it above, but Brett McKenzie has a nom for Best Song - YAY! (Man or Muppet)

I agree with all of this! (hearted)

You poor thing! That would scar anyone for life.

I just checked out her site for that same reason - and she has gorgeous, non-model women modelling the suits! So cool.
