Actually, strangely enough, Morris Township and Morristown are two different towns.

Interesting that this was released on Thanksgiving

Thanks for the update. It's a shame they couldn't come to an agreement. Hopefully similar issues don't develop in NJ.

Fair point, and I agree 100%, although this brings up a fundamental issue: the government/investors are/were shouldn't be relying on Europeans to provide the majority of their ticket sales. They're American races and thus the focus should be on selling tickets to North American fans.

Joe Saward had an interesting comment re: the impact of the NJ race on ticket sales in Austin...

You have to pay the troll toll...

In case anyone else runs into this issue, it's a bug with AdBlock Plus (at least for me). Add mail.google.com as an exception and you should be good to go.

Anyone else having issues with chat? The text box where I reply is hidden for all of my chat windows (both docked and popped-out).

It's cool - he's got his bullet-resistant reefs on.

Cool, looking forward to it.

Also reading reports that it breached in southern Hoboken near the train station. Wonder how the PATH system made out?

Ray, from what I've read over at Wundeground (see: [goo.gl] ), the Battery seawall is approximately 2.4m (7'10") above MLLW, meaning the surge would be at/very near the top of the seawall. Any idea if it breached at all?

While the terrain is certainly there, some of those sections of River Rd are an absolute mess (not to mention incredibly difficult for anyone west of the Hudson to actually get to). Still, it would be pretty incredible to see an F1 car take that run up over the overpass and up Pershing to connect to JFK.

It's not so much a fact that they're made of carbon fiber but more so that, as americansmark pointed out, they're designed to do so. The cars are basically huge crumple zones surrounded by a monocoque safety cell and so each bit falling off is dissipated energy, while the safety cell remains intact to protect the

Check out the on board from the other Audi to put it into perspective (1:30 mark). I believe the interview with Beltoise (Ferrari driver) said that he checked his mirrors at the 100 meter board, but with the Audi's apexing approximately 40-50 kmh faster, he never saw McNish coming.

I reckon it's just his forum username

That's pretty much standard procedure for any NYC taxi.
