I think it's because they sell this image of a girl (or guy, or couple) that "have everything." They're pretty, always look like they're having fun, and pick the perfect filter to encapsulate ~*nostalgia*~ IDK Instagram is so weird but it's fascinating, too.

About a decade ago I bought an Acura TSX rather than an Accord V6, in part because the dealer was so much more straight, honest, and polite with me than any of the local Honda dealers. It was really like the Acura store wanted to sell me a car and the Honda stores just wanted to jerk me around.
