That is just how trials are supposed to go. Initially the jury believes that the defendant is innocent until, through testimony and evidence, the defendant is proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be guilty (or not).

If the line is implying that women from Oakland can’t have pretty faces, it’s also implying that women from LA can’t have nice butts.
