Honestly the narrative itself didn’t really work for an open world game, so someone should’ve intervened even before those teams started working on their own things.

I mean I get why they do it, you’ve got a massive library of characters and a real chance that people will stick around for future character DLCs, there’s some real potential for long term exploitation. But why they’re trying to use some variation of the formula used by games like Agents of Mayhem is beyond me. I

Microsoft is sitting on $99B cash right now, they’re not going into debt buying Activision. And their net income in 2022 Q4 was $20b, they’ll recoup their expenses of this merger in a single year without doing anything.

And twiter gave agents of oppressive governments full back end access which let them read the DMs of opposition leaders and protestors. All social media are the same, TikTok is just more obvious because China has such a clear and obvious hold on it’s companies.

Tate allegedly used a “loverboy method” to lure victims in, only to subjugate them to intimidation and surveillance as a means of control. He’s also been accused of coercing these victims into lurid pornographic actions that were intended for monetary purposes. Hopefully, he gets a longer sentence.

They used to be for a brief moment before GW started shoveling skeletons into their closet because the fans of the other more popular races got upset they lost the moral high ground.

If you follow the setting and keep track of it’s very mediocre tie-in games it definitely is, just look at this list:

An open world monster hunter type game seems like the most obvious choice, I don’t think they’d want to remove the machine riding so you’d want a lot of room for travel. I wonder if they’d go for specific classes like destiny or more monster hunter style equipment.

“The agency cited Microsoft’s acquisition of game developer ZeniMax, and it says that the company’s subsidiary made titles including “Starfield” and “Redfall” exclusive to Microsoft devices despite previous assurances to European regulators.”

Ah yes, the physical horror of building inside of a living mass of meat contrasted against the psychological horror of trying to run a public park under capitalism. Amazing concept, I’d love to play it.

So it’s like FTL + Evil Genius with old school anime aesthetics? I’m down, sounds like fun.

What do you mean? I love launchers, they’re such a convenient way of loading mods, especially the new paradox one that lets you make presets that you can swap to in 2 clicks.

If you can reduce damage there’s very little point in keeping it though? If your player can turn off damage and walk back to their souls to pick them up why not give them a way to avoid the chore?

Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever seen good player made guides/tierlists for multiplayer games? The thing that’s actually valuable is large quantities of win rate data. And those not being available doesn’t make tier lists any better.

It’s not like SimCity hasn’t left it’s own problematic mark on a generation of Civic engineers/urban planners. There isn’t a single city builder out there that promotes good zoning.

On the one hand yes, but on the other hand permanent parties kind of defeat the charm of the pawn system. Part of the fun was making a good pawn that other people would like and would use, while looking around and finding cool and fun new ones yourself. I enjoyed having a slightly different party with a slightly

The weird thing is that all these companies keep looking into NFTs while the thing they want: steam marketplace, doesn’t use NFTs at all.

Part of me is really sad that Fortnite became such a hit for epic, because an UT style BR could’ve been so much fun. You’d probably need to change up the weapons/movement a little to adapt to no/limited respawns, but having that amount of variety would be amazing.

considering this is a for profit website I’m pretty sure this is a case where Musk is actually paying rent, even if it’s indirectly.

That tracks as People can Fly is a mostly AA studio that has made some higher budget style games, but never managed to score a massive hit. I think they’re kind of on the same level as the Returnal/A Plague Tale devs, although those are both a bit more high brow. Remedy might be on that list too, towards the upper
