I think that would be too theoretical? springs can last an incredible amount of time, high end keyboards have them rated for millions of presses. And forcing the motor to adjust on the fly would make the gears the first point of failure which is much more dangerous than having a spring do it. (which should be able to

The motor uses a worm gear which really only works one way, there would be much more friction the other way around, the gears would probably break.

I guess with the pandemic he figured out how to work from home?

Based on pictures from the patent it uses a motor to increase/decrease resistance somehow, though people aren’t sure how it functions.

The difference is the technology behind the rumble, instead of standard rumble motors the Dualsense uses “voice-coil actuators”(roughly the same mechanism that speakers use but heavier). So instead of most controller gimmicks where they’re adding an extra feature, this is replacing an existing one with a potentially

It’s a hundred percent gambling, but since legally gambling is (in many countries) only tied to direct monetary gain it skates by.

World level 3 is where you get access to purple artifact domains and you can start really kitting out your team. I don’t find it too spongey, but it’s definitely a major step up from level 2 that’s for sure. I’ve leveled my team up to 59 and am working on getting all level 60 weapons and it’s still a bit of a slog

He didn’t want to, but he had to.

I mean people just don't like change, and having less choice is annoying. I've never played Bethesda games on console but I'm still sad this happened, if only because I don't like Microsoft's strategy.

This looks like if Stratosphere: Conquest of the Skies was a management game instead of a combat one. Very neat, I might have to try this out. I still really love the concept of Stratosphere.

You know I always wanted a choice of protagonist for this game. Not that I’ve played it, but I bet it would be more interesting playing a girl pretending to be her brother.

I think it’s maybe too succinct.

The outcome is that all warranty void if broken seals mean nothing, but manufacturers will keep placing them as a deterrent. Not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure it’s on the manufacturer to prove that your actions directly broke the machine which isn’t super easy to do.

didn’t the PS4 issues have to do with avoiding seek time by moving everything around and replacing things to keep files continuous? That shouldn’t be an issue at all with the SSDs of this gen. But you’ve got a good point that this doesn’t have to be final and the S would need less space for some files.

According to IGN, of that 1TB, you’ll really only have 800 gigabytes to work with. The outstanding 20 percent is partitioned off to save space for the console’s operating system and other files.

Isn’t the US Internet infrastructure run through a feudal system? Why would the Duke of verizon give a fuck about competing content providers and their traitorous serfs/consumers?

The issue with directx is that it should have competition and afaik some devs under zenimax were large opengl/vulkan proponents. Just the possibility of that support falling away is concerning.

The problem with sustainability is that they keep growing, the more content they add the more subscribers they need. Netflix is doing the same thing, they keep spending on more content as viewership goes up so even after almost a decade of revenue growth they still aren’t really stable. Its overall a bad trend and cI

I mean I said trying, and microsoft isn’t really any smaller than those conglomerates, it’s smaller than at&t by roughly the same factor as Disney is smaller than Microsoft.

Microsoft is really trying to become the Disney of gaming. They already have their Disney+ and now, just like Disney, they’ve bought some of the longest running franchises in the industry.(doom/simpsons)
