My traction control kicks in when I pull out onto a street with a speed limit of say, 50 or 60 mph. So it's not that I'm playing racecar in public, but in some ways I feel that it makes driving safer.
Twice in my life I've had people (presumably homeless or illegals) run across the highway just hundreds of feet in front of me. It still terrifies me that people do this.
