I’ve never really “got” Paganis. I understand how impressive they are from a mechanical and design perspective, and it’s not that they lack “soul” (ah hem, Italian + 12 cylinders). I can’t really put my finger on it.

What about tapping the fuel nozzle on the filler tube to get the last drop and keep from dripping the last bit on the paint? I remember a friend of mine freaking out when I did this once saying it was going to cause a fire and spark.

People ask me my favorite vehicle of all time, and the XJ is in the running for me. I had two, both of which were stolen and totaled while I lived in D.C. (another thing that XJ owners in cities know? they are easy to steal).

I think a lot of this can be put down to the general car consuming American public being convinced they need/want something utility-esque or truck-like, and to them this means “crossover/SUV.” I think maybe wagons are seen as too sedan-like for a lot of the general car consuming public.

Is this carbureted or fuel injected? If carb, conceivably a doable apocalypse car, right?

Yes, Singers are overpriced. Yes, Singers are overdesigned. Yes, I will never own one and it’s even unlikely I will see one IRL. I don’t care. They are awesome.

Serious lost opportunity on the headline. Should have read:

This is my favorite because, I don’t know why, but for God’s sake I think it’s in the realm of possibility.

I bought two pairs of these for me and my wife around the start of quarantine and when they were on sale. I don’t have other TWS to compare to, but I have been very happy with them. Battery is great. Sound is good. Easy to connect and sync. They are not active noise cancelling, but they do a good job keeping out

Could this be for the LM hypercar class? I don’t know enough about that to make an educated guess.

I had the prior generation Jetta Wolfsburg (‘09), which had the 2.0T and (I have been lead to understand) the same suspension set up as the then-outgoing ‘08 GLI. It was a really fun car, but also super practical. I had it for three years through law school and then another three until my son was born and my wife

Disclaimer: I love Gordon Murray and the F1. The T.50 is going to be amazing. Don’t get me wrong on that.

This is clickbait, not “building your own Peloton bike”.

Can I just say that this is the type of “I need a ______” that we should get more of. I don’t care if you’re an ER surgeon in L.A. looking to spend $90k on a track toy. Or, for that matter, a suburban mom from Connecticut who has $50k to blow on a “three row SUV to take me, our one kid, and our pedigree golden
